It's a battle of attrition, so the arb - who already has a +heal trinket - should be extending your party's life as much as possible. Because at least one person is focusing down the tentacles, the shambler will take damage slowly. Worst case, it then hits the MAA anyway and you get a bonus riposte, which will definitely take it down, plus I believe the first hit doesn't benefit from the damage buff it applies.ĭon't bother marking with the arb. Similarly, it can be good to finish one off with the retribution hit. (With at least +25, he's easily the best single shambler-hunting class.) That said, you do want the AOE daggers to buffer against RNG. With one +15 damage, his average damage is higher than the tentacles HP, meaning he can regularly expect to kill both before they do anything. However, zealous is really good because the crusader's slow speed means it often hits before the tentacles can buff themselves with +prot. Need +dam on the crusader because you want to kill the tentacles ASAP. Maybe HM, but I think it'd prefer other trinkets on him.
Only class I'd have try to stun the shambler is the PD with double +stun. Need +dam on the crusader instead of +stun. A shambler is one of the good places to run toxin trickery. I'm guessing he planned for shambler shenaningans, meaning his antivenom and bandage stacks should have been six high.
